ಮಹೇಂದ್ರ
ಭಾರತ ಕಂಡಂತಹ ಗೂಟರಕ್ಷಕ ದಂತಕಥೆ ಈ ಮಹೇಂದ್ರ।ಅವರ ಹೊಗಳುಭಟ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇವರೇ ಇಂದ್ರ ಚಂದ್ರ।। ಸಹನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಂಚೇಂದ್ರ।ಮಿಂಚಿನ ಓಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಹುಗಳ ಚಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರೇ ಕಣ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ।। ಬೀರಪ್ಪ
मम भारतः
जन्मभूमिश्च कर्मभूभूमिश्च पुण्यभूमिश्च, मम भारत: | वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् इति वयं कुर्वन्ति युगे युगे स्वागतः || भव्य भारतम् दृष्ट्वा, म्लेच्छा: दण्डयात्राम्कर्तुं आगतः | मातृभूमिं संरक्षणार्थं बहवः राजः तथा सैनिकाः दिवंगतः || नैऋत्ये, म्लेच्छस्य पैशाचिक कृत्ये बहवः प्रजा: मृताः | अधुना पाश्चिमात्य संस्कृते: व्यामोहेन, अस्माकं धर्मकर्मस्च भूगताः || बीरप्प
